March Classes at ZigZags
March is upon us and Spring is in the air! Why not make time to learn something new in our lovely spacious workshop area attached to our shop? We have classes and workshops to suit all abilities and interests.
Here's what we have planned for the next few weeks or browse all of our classes here. Plus, don’t forget about our weekly social 'Needles and Natter' session, every Thursday afternoon, between 2 and 4 o'clock. Everybody's welcome.
Do you have many unfinished 'Works In Progress'? Don't we all! Then take advantage of our UFO days on the first Friday of the month, to come and use our space to work uninterrupted. Details here.
Zip pouch bag workshop with Laureen Nicholls
Tuesday 6th March 10am to 1pm Cost: £20
In this class we’ll take the fear out of sewing zips by making these lovely patchwork pouches! In under three hours you’ll be sewing zips like a pro and wanting to make more.

Quilt-as-you-go Masterclass with Hilary Adams
Saturday 10th March 10am to 4pm Cost: £30
Quilt-as-you-go is a fun technique that allows you to get the whole project finished at once - the piecing and quilting are done together so that when you've completed the top, all you have left to do is join the blocks together and then bind the project.

Raggy edge patchwork workshop with Fran Scott
Wednesday 14th March 10am to 2pm Cost: £25
Fran Scott will teach you this very effective technique to bring a completely different look to your patchwork projects. Looks fabulous as a cushion or when used to create a whole quilt.

Teddy bear crochet workshop with Mandy Halliday
Thursday 15th March 10am to 1pm Cost: £2o
This workshop is for crocheters who can do basic stitches, but would like to develop their skills further. You will learn the basic amigurumi toy technique, including how to increase and decrease stitches to form a 3D shape. And make this cute teddy bear

'Block a Month' workshop - Churn Dash with Mandy Halliday

Every month we are making a different patchwork block, which can be used individually, or joined together to make a stunning sampler quilt.
In this workshop, Mandy Halliday will be teaching the Churn Dash quilt block, which can be arranged in different ways to form various designs. Very effective!
